Carnival Cruise Lines offers bonus commissions to travel agents on Carnival Splendor bookings

(News Release)

Special Earning Opportunity Results from Carnival Conversations Feedback;
Available on New Individual Bookings Made Between July 12 - August 31

MIAMI (July 12, 2013) – Carnival Cruise Lines is offering travel agents a $25 bonus commission on new individual Carnival Splendor bookings made between July 12 - Aug. 31, 2013.
This new bonus commission is being implemented as part of recent Carnival Conversations feedback indicating positive travel agent response toward incremental earning opportunities.
Carnival announced the bonus commission to an audience of 200 travel agents at the first Carnival Conversations road show, held earlier today aboard Carnival Splendor in New York City. Carnival Conversations, the line’s new travel agent outreach program, is designed to increase dialogue and strengthen ties with travel agents.

“Carnival Splendor offers the richest itineraries departing from New York at a fantastic value, including 10 different itineraries visiting more than a dozen destinations throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas, Florida, New England and the Canadian Maritimes,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales. “With some of the best price points in the marketplace, these are excellent sailings for bringing in first-time cruisers to try out the ‘Fun Ship’ experience. This special bonus commission is our way of providing travel agents an opportunity to earn more commission for these sailings.”

New Four- to Seven-Day Canada/New England Cruises from New York
Beginning in 2014, Carnival will significantly diversify Carnival Splendor’s year-round offerings from New York, adding new four- and five-day Canada cruises, seven-day Canada/New England departures, and the only program of eight-day eastern Caribbean voyages operating one-way between New York and San Juan. These new cruises complement the ship’s popular year-round eight-day departures that showcase top destinations in the Caribbean, The Bahamas, and Central Florida.
The new one-way eight-day cruises are particularly noteworthy, operating from New York to San Juan or vice versa, with stops at St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Antigua and St. Maarten.  Carnival Splendor will offer three New York-to-San Juan cruises departing Oct. 24, 2014, and Jan. 12 and Feb. 13, 2015, along with three San Juan-to-New York voyages departing Nov. 1, 2014, and Jan. 20 and Feb. 21, 2015.

Variety of Fun On-Board Options Aboard Carnival Splendor
The 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor offers a variety of on-board features and facilities, highlighted by a two-level 21,000-square-foot Cloud 9 Spa, along with four swimming pools, a cascading water slide and free, supervised programming and facilities catering to kids in three age groups.  Dining options include two two-level main dining rooms, a classic American steakhouse and an expansive poolside restaurant offering a variety of international cuisines and a 24-hour pizzeria. Carnival Splendor also offers a wide range of accommodation choices, including spectacular suites and Cloud 9 Spa staterooms, with more than 60 percent of all staterooms offering either an ocean view or private balcony. There are even inter-connecting staterooms that are perfect for families or guests travelling together.

            The Carnival Splendor bonus commission is only available to U.S. travel agents and applies to new individual bookings.  Certain other restrictions apply.
