More cruise ship connection stories highlight Princess Cruises' “Linked by the Sea” blog

Tales Include Romance at Sea, Reconnecting Years After a Cruise and
Meeting Namesakes Who Became Friends

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (June 28, 2013) – Princess Cruises’ blog, “Linked by the Sea” is featuring more stories of people who made connections on or because of a cruise.

The latest stories include romances that began onboard, others that blossomed years later, and one couple made friends that shared their names and much more.

Each week the blog, found at LinkedByTheSea.com, will illustrate how a cruise not only offers a relaxing retreat from which to explore the world, but often includes the discovery of new friends that lead to meaningful or lifelong relationships. Both passengers and crew tell stories about people they connect with at sea.

The most recent “Linked by the Sea” stories are:

The Fate of a Time Before Cell Phones – Julie Fortin recounts her meeting of Alessandro, a waiter, aboard Pacific Princess and how they fell in love after a chance meeting at her hotel as he was using the hotel pay phone to call home in a time before cell phones.
Connected by a Father and Son – Bob Englehart has found a sense of continuity at sea by sailing regularly with the son of his favorite waiter.  He and his wife seek out Carlos’ table, years after having done the same for his father, Jose.
Doppelgangers On Board? –  JoAnn and Peter from Toronto meet Jo Ann and Peter from Vancouver!  Two couples aboard Sea Princess discovered they have their names in common, and much more.
Cruising Together Again – More than 35 years after they met on a Panama Canal cruise, Leslie and Keith reconnected, and soon were married and cruising once again.
Love Speaks Its Own Language – Melissa’s daughter spotted the perfect man for her mom on a South America cruise. Turns out she was right, and the happy couple hasn’t let language differences or distance get in the way of their marriage.

Blog readers are encouraged to share their own “Linked by the Sea” stories through the blog as well. Submissions to linkedbythesea.com/share-your-story will be considered for future blog posts.
