Bayley will report directly to Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.   Bayley has been with Royal Caribbean for over 30 years, most recently as Executive Vice President of Operations.  Prior to this role, Bayley served as Executive Vice President — International, where he oversaw the international expansion for the company.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (July 25, 2012) – When the new Royal Princess launches in June 2013, Captain Tony Draper will be at the helm of Princess Cruises’ newest vessel, leading a senior officer team with more than 100 years of seagoing experience among them.

The senior four-stripe team will also include Relief Captain Dino Sagani, Chief Engineer Fabio Braccelli, Hotel General Manager Dirk Brand, and Staff Captain Tim Stringer.

Fort Lauderdale, FL — July 18, 2012 Halfway through the year, travel agents cite  optimism about selling cruises in 2012, according to a new survey of members of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).  Over 50 percent of respondents report they are already selling more vacations at sea than in 2011 and 64 percent expect cruise booking volume over the course of 2012 to increase over last year.

The online survey of over 300 CLIA-member agents, conducted in early July, measured several major aspects of the cruise industry from the agent perspective, including consumer confidence and attitudes toward cruising, popular cruise destinations, passenger demographics, and booking patterns.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Princess Cruises is booking its 2013-2014 Americas and Exotics cruises, offering a variety of vacation options from close-to-home cruises to far-flung worldwide adventures.

The season includes a new series of shorter cruises in the Caribbean and along the West Coast, the line’s first year-round ship based in San Francisco, and the Caribbean debut of the new Royal Princess.

New segments added to Holland America's Grand Asia and Australia voyage

SEATTLE -- Holland America Line has added three new segments to ms Amsterdam's 75-day Grand Asia & Australia Voyage in fall 2012. Ranging from 20 to 30 days, the new segments set sail in October and November and span from China to California.

The full voyage departs Seattle, Wash., Sept. 21 and explores the wonders of Asia, Western Australia and the South Pacific on a 75-day cruise. Beginning spring 2014, Norwegian Getaway will be the largest ship to homeport year-round in Miami


MIAMI PortMiami and Norwegian Cruise Line have announced that Norwegian Cruise Line’s new state-of-the-art 4,000 passenger ship, Norwegian Getaway, will make Miami her year-round home port.
Norwegian Getaway - which will be the largest ship ever to home port year-round in Miami - will embark on weekly cruises beginning in the spring of 2014. Miami-Dade County officials joined Norwegian Cruise Line Chief Executive Officer Kevin Sheehan today at PortMiami on board Norwegian Spirit for this announcement. 

Holland America Line Introduces Master Chef's International Dinner

SEATTLE -- Holland America Line has unveiled a new Master Chef's International Dinner in the main dining room, a unique experience showcasing signature dishes from around the world. The exotic menu is offered once a cruise and features cuisine from six continents crafted by Holland America Line's award-winning Master Chef Rudi Sodamin in collaboration with several of the line's expert chefs.

Guests can design their international three- or four-course meal by choosing each course from selections that represent a variety of cultures. The exclusive 20-dish menu includes appetizers, entrees and desserts from Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, North and South America, as well as wine pairings from each region. Princess Cruises to base ship year round in San Francisco



Grand Princess Will Offer Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico and California Coast Sailings

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Princess Cruises announced that for the first time it will base a ship in San Francisco year round, beginning in May 2013.

The extensively renovated Grand Princess will first offer a series of Alaska cruises during the summer months from the “City by the Bay,” followed by a schedule of Hawaiian Islands, Mexico and the California Coast sailings during the fall 2013 to spring 2014 season.
 
Last year the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess underwent the largest drydock in Princess Cruises history, adding a host of new features so that passengers will enjoy the same onboard experience as offered by the line’s other newer ships.

Princess Cruises Raises the Curtain on New Royal Princess Entertainment Venue


SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Princess Cruises has raised the curtain on Princess Live!, a new type of cruise ship entertainment venue that passengers will enjoy aboard the new Royal Princess. Taking the audience behind the scenes to share the excitement of a working television studio, the high-tech Princess Live! will showcase live television broadcasts, intimate performances from musicians, and special events such as cooking shows, plus will feature an adjacent café.

Located on Royal Princess’ deck 7 just aft of the Piazza, Princess Live! will be a flexible, 280-seat venue based on a television broadcast studio. When the ship debuts in June 2013, Princess Live! will serve as a venue for daily broadcasts of “The Wake Show” with a new twist -- a daily live audience.

This popular daily show staring the cruise director and special guests from around the ship is a staple across the Princess fleet, but is rarely staged live.
