For those hopelessly romantic, the cruise line famous for the “love boats” has just the thing this Valentine’s.
There will be a mass renewal of vows in ceremonies taking place simultaneously on the top deck of three Princess cruise ships.
They’ll try to set a Guinness World Record for the largest multi-location vow renewal.
Vow renewals will take place for Valentine’s on three Princess ships.
“The overall goal to break the record on all three ships is 1,202 or more,” said publicist Gabby McNamara.
It’s part of what the line is calling the “most romantic cruises of the year,” featuring two Florida sailings and one from Los Angeles.

This idea started with the Regal Princess and the ceremony hosted by Loveboat TV’s Gavin MacLeod, who played Capt. Merrill Stubing, and show daughter Jill Whelan (Vicki) as matron of honour.
This is a seven-day, round-trip Western Caribbean voyage from Fort Lauderdale from Feb. 9 to 16, visiting Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and the cruise line’s private, romantic beach, Princess Cays.
When word got out about the romantic getaway, it quickly sold out and Princess added a second sailing to Mexico.
That is on the Royal Princess with the first “Bachelorette” reality TV couple Trista and Ryan Sutter officiating.

This cruise is from Los Angeles roundtrip to Mexico from Feb. 10 to 15 and includes an overnight stay in Cabo San Lucas, home of Lover’s Beach.
Count the Crown Princess now that’s away on a 10-day Southern Caribbean voyage from Fort Lauderdale with the ceremonies to be hosted by the crew.

“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate and commemorate a couple’s love than by reaffirming their commitment to one another onboard the Love Boat over Valentine’s Day,” said MacLeod who is a Princess Cruises ambassador.
How could anyone forget the popular TV show that ran for 10 seasons from 1977 to 1986?

Renewing vows at sea can be costly depending on the locations and activities but for these sailings the ceremony will be offered free of charge for participating guests, Princess said.
Also planned are “romantic touches” throughout the cruises, including movies, meeting with the celebrity hosts, Valentine’s Day food and beverage specials and more.
The Sutters were the first couple to marry from The Bachelorette in 2003 and they celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary as the godparents of the Ruby Princess.
Princess Cruises has a fleet of 18 ships, carrying two-million guests each year to 380 destinations around the globe with 170 itineraries of three to 111 days.

Two Royal-class ships are under construction, with the Enchanted Princess scheduled for delivery in June, followed by Discovery Princess in November next year.
Two ships to be the largest in the fleet and accommodating 4,300 guests are planned for delivery in 2023 and 2025.
“It wouldn’t be a Princess cruise unless there’s romance and we invite couples of all ages to join us for this celebration of love on the high seas,” said Whelan, the cruise line’s celebrations ambassador.
